TOCA was founded Dec 4, 2019 and is a formal Chapter of the Tesla Owners Club network. TOCA is a tax-exempt social club 501(c)7, is incorporated, has an elected Board of Directors and Executive Committee, a FEIN, bank account, bylaws, liability insurance, collects dues, has paid sponsors, files an annual tax return and has a three-year running budget. The Board members meet at least monthly to address club business. Board members are assigned to various committees, such as Advocacy, Sponsorship, Events, etc. Board meeting minutes, finances and other documents are retained on a secure off-site cloud server.  Dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of Tesla vehicles

• Advocate for government changes that support electric vehicles
• Promote the Tesla brand, the electric vehicle lifestyle and the supporting infrastructure
• Educate the public on the electric vehicle experience
• Network, socialize and promote camaraderie among Tesla enthusiasts
• Provide technical support to Tesla owners
• Represent the group while performing charitable, volunteer, environmental and humanitarian activities
• Have fun!

We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

No Hate Speech or Bullying

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

No Promotions or Spam

Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed. Selling EV-related items is okay.

Respect Everyone's Privacy

Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group.

Acceptable language

This is a family-friendly group, so expletives, profanity and obscenity are not allowed.

DO:

• Promote Club events or Club participation in other events
• Share photos/video/stories/etc. of members, Tesla products and events
• Promote Club efforts and overall culture
• Advocate for Tesla and its mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy
• Advocate for EV-related policy issues
• Keep interactions relevant and professional, whenever engaging with Elon/Tesla’s official accounts
• If you would like to engage in debate, please use a personal account, not the Club’s

DON'T:

• Represent yourself as speaking on behalf of Tesla
• Bash other EV manufacturers
• Share personal agendas, politics or NSFW content
• Counter FUD with emotional responses, ad hominem attacks, or generally add fuel to the fire
• Spam Elon Musk or Tesla official feeds

Want to help TOCA grow and decide its future? We’re looking for people especially interested in managing any of the following: Government advocacy, events, social media, graphic arts, energy & charging company liaison, non-Tesla EV dealership liaison, and more. 

Requirements include:

• Residence in Arkansas
• Membership dues paid
• Respects the confidentiality of advance information from Tesla
• Commits to being an active Board member, including attending conference calls, being responsive to communications, participation in Board decisions and volunteering for specific tasks
