On Dec 10, 2021, a caravan of Teslas delivered over 100 toys to the Children's Hospital in Springdale, followed by a luncheon at a local restaurant. These toys were collected during Nov and Dec at two public locations, Arvest Bank and Crossover Veterinary Services.
Toys were also collected and delivered to the Children's Hospital in North Little Rock.
On April 24, 2021, the Tesla Owners Club of Arkansas took part in an exciting celebration for the City of Lonoke's grand opening of their first public EV charging stations. The club gathered in Downtown Little Rock for a brief meetup, then organized a convoy of over 20 EVs to make the short trip to Lonoke for the grand opening and ribbon cutting. Check out the video recap from the event here
These six chargers, sponsored by Entergy and Adopt-A-Charger, provide completely free Level-2 charging to Lonoke residents and visitors. While visiting these charging stations, EV owners can get a taste of what Lonoke has to offer by visiting one of the nearby local restaurants and by enjoying the local walking trails. These stations represent one of the many benefits of EV ownership: there's no need to take time out of your schedule to find and go to a gas station to fill up if your fuel source is everywhere! Special thanks to club sponsors EVolve Auto and Seal Solar for making this event possible!
TOCA went "glamping" (glamorous camping)! Late fall is a beautiful time in the Ozarks. Lindsey's Resort in Heber Springs is right on the Little Red River below Greer's Ferry Lake and has multiple Tesla destination chargers on site. The resort has multiple 50 amp RV spots if you'd like to camp in your Tesla overnight. For those who don't like roughing it, Lindsey's also has several cabins and "motel style" cabin rooms as well. Let's do this again in 2022!
TOCA represents the EV lifestyle every first Sunday morning in front of Frisco Mall, Walnut at Dixieland in Rogers with many vehicles and members present, answering interested attendees questions about EV ownership. Come join us and park in the EV section! See hot rods, classics, exotics, motorcycles, imports, tuners, and more!
TOCA is responsible for maintaining one mile of Hwy 12 in Rogers, centered on the Hobbs State Park Welcome Center. TOCA picks up litter multiple times per year. The Arkansas Department of Transportation provides the signs, bags and vests; TOCA provides the labor. This effort meets our club charter of giving back to the community while improving our Natural State environment. And the Welcome Center has dedicated parking spots for sustainable vehicles!
